In Information Technology, the Hardware is the physical aspect of computers, telecommunications, and such other devices of the field of electronics. The term evolved as a way to distinguish the "box" and the electronic circuitry and components of a computer from the software program you put in it to make it do things.

Hardware includes not only the computer proper but also the cables, connectors, power supply units, and peripheral devices such as the keyboard, mouse, audio speakers, and printers. Hardware is sometimes used as a term collectively describing the physical aspects of the telephony and telecommunications network infrastructure.

Hardware signifies permanence and invariability, while the Software or programming can easily be altered and varied. Any entirely new program put in the hardware makes it create an entirely new experience for the user.
